Portable A/C
Has anyone used a portable A/C unit in their coach when the built in unit has failed? It seems that in an older MH it would be much cheaper than replacing a basement unit.

One downfall of the single hose portable ACs is that the air being exhausted has to come into the room somehow or the AC will be very inefficient. Dual hose ACs are a better option for a portable unit.

My son uses one in his tent camper. Freezes them out. In Florida. In the summer.
The single hose is the hot air exhaust. The dual hose allows you to mix outside air in which I don't see as an advantage. Mixing in 95 degree air into 70 degree room will result in warmer air. Roof acs don't bring in fresh air. Some window units have a little 1" flap you can open that pulls in a little fresh air.

I'm sure you could go to the nearest trailer park and see some hanging out the window propped up with sawhorses and sealed with duct tape.
