The very nature of any drop receiver puts more downward pressure on the receiver every time you stop.
In the Charlotte/Concord area there should be many options with all the fabricators in that area supporting the racing industry. I would look for a real hitch shop or call some metal shops and see who can do the work for you. There may even be someone at Camping World left over from Tom Johnsons who can recommend a shop. I certainly would not let anyone from Camping World do it, however.
