Potential camper for reconditioning, advice needed

Wow! Thanks everyone! This is fantastic information, and all during the same business day as my post! What an amazing community! I think you are right in that I shouldn't bother with it, it will probably be more headaches than fun in DIY repairing, when I should just be out camping.

That said, can you point me in the right direction in choosing a reliable used camper that will get me from Florida to Oregon without breaking the bank? I only need 1 bed. Thanks!
