While I may not own a Palazzo I do own a Thor product, as many others here have too. Just saying...
To your point Thor does make no secret of the fact that they are very proud of their low price. There is truth in the old saying that "You get what you pay for" and sometimes I do wish that someone offered this floor plan in a better built unit for a little more money. Thor themselves offer a similar sized coach (but not the same floorplan) for about $100,000 more that I would assume is better built and offers more amenities. I am just trying to make the point that not everyone that bought a Palazzo has had a disasterous experience and am tired of hearing about one guy that did as though everyone is going to have the same problems. The reason I did not respond earlier in this chain is that I was out camping in mine instead of monitoring the internet. Also, from what I can see the main issues have been addressed in the 3 years that have gone by since that happened. And I do enjoy having an extra 100 grand in my savings. That goes a long way to make up for some of the issues.
For the record, the main complaint I have on mine is the lack of a power management system that makes running on week shorepower a challenge. My second complaint would be that the Freightliner chassis on the 208" wheelbase should get the 340hp version of the engine and the Allison 2500 transmission so that it has some real towing capacity. The real rated towing capacity of the smaller units is only about 5,000lbs and that seems light to me for something built on a Freightliner chassis.
