Potty Pedestal

I noticed that the Fleetwood Expedition 36m puts the Pot up on a pedestal? Why do they do this? I would think it would make your time in there a little uncomfortable?
  • I think it has to do with the black tank being very shallow and needed to give room for the plumbing.
  • hey, with my little short legs, any potty is too high for me to rest my feet. :)
do they make a potty seat belt?
    bumpy

Fit for a King & Queen or both... LOL...

  • We had the toilet put on a pedestal in our tt. This raised the toilet about 3.5" inches higher - much easier to sit down on and get up from. DH is 6'1 and I am 5'6" but I guess we have long legs. The new height is much more comfortable. Standard toilets are about 14" high; newer ADA toilets are 17-19". Now I can go without feeling like I am falling in...
  • For what ever reason all standard RV toilets are 'lower' than a residential toilet.

First thing I did with my coach was to replace the toilet with a taller one. The choices for most are buying a taller one, adding an add on raiser OR buy a coach that the manufacturer fixes all that for you and puts it up on a pedestal!
  • My former Pace Arrow had the toilet on top of the holding tank and it wasn't a pedestal. The Newmar is all flush tothe floor. Are you sure the pedestal wasn't the holding tank?
  • Many models of RV toilets are made in both "high profile" and "low profile" heights. Hi profiles are typically about 16-17" high at the seat, and lo profiles are about 12-13" at the seat. Lo profile toilets are always installed on a raised pedestal that elevates them to standard height, usually to allow for a larger tank or other plumbing issues.

I think that this is the low profile type. I will look more closely and take a seat when I go back to the dealer to look at it again. I am worried about where I put my feet. Both out in front are not always the best when you are doing your paperwork.
  • We changed ours to a taller one. Much easier on these old knees.
