- richardwiseExplorerPower locks are pretty much standard equipment on every vehicle these days. But "remote" or "keyless entry" is an option that requires a receiver in the vehicle to pick up signal from the transmitter or fob to activate the locks. This is probably what your dealer meant.
- dicknellenExplorer II08/22/13 on the class C forum “Keyless Entry” subject came up. I had wondered my 2006 Winnie class C didn’t have keyless remotes so after reading I ordered two. I received my two keyless remotes from Discount Keyless in Oakhurst NJ that I ordered thru Amazon for my E-350. Cost me $11.12 total including shipping. Programmed them, they work great on the cab doors and include the dreaded panic alarm. It does not lock or unlock my coach door, I may check into seeing if it can do that in the future. My 2006 24VR Chalet is basically a 2005 Minnie 24V and coach door electronic lock was not a feature on the 05 Minnie. I'm a happy camper. Regards, Dick

Here is a link to thread mentioned above.
Keyless Entry - dicknellenExplorer III think new Winnebago & Itasca's come standard with the keyfob since on some models it also works on the compartment and coach entry door. Check www.winnebagoind.com and look at the brochures on models you might be interested in. Dick
- RangeriderExplorerOur 05 Winnebago Aspect came with key fobs. They operated the cab doors and the coach door. It was a great feature. Much more cumbersome to have to use a key to lock and unlock current coach. If it was an option, I would opt for it.
- DakzukiExplorerThey charging extra for wheels too? Sounds like a dealer trying to invent a new way of making money.

After reading an earlier thread, I contacted Winnebago because the entry door has never (6 years) worked with the electric locks. Winnebago verified that the door SHOULD work with the electric locks. They said all Winnebagos/Itascas have that installed.
I took an analog multimeter outside and put the probes on the contacts on the door frame and had DW alternately lock and unlock the electric locks. The needle didn't move.
I took the two screws out that held the contacts on the door frame and pulled it off. The contacts were NOT PLUGGED INTO THE MH WIRING! I used a flashlight to look into the hole and saw the two wires that SHOULD have been on the contact plate. I used some needle nose pliers to pull the connectors out and plugged them onto the back of the contacts, and screwed it back in place.
VOILA! THE ENTRY DOOR NOW WORKS WITH THE ELECTRIC LOCKS! If I had known it was that easy to fix, I would have fixed it 6 years ago!
BTW, I bought 2 fobs on AMAZON, $10.46 delivered. My cab doesn't have the receiver installed so the fobs don't work on my MH. - wbwoodExplorerOurs came with one fob.
- dicknellenExplorer IIwbwood, Brian if you purchased it new I think they owe you another fob. Good looking MH, does your coach door also lock & unlock with you cab doors. Dick
- Beverley_KenExplorerOur 06 Winnie c-class came with two remotes. They operate the cab doors and the coach entry door.
Bobbo have you tried reprograming your remotes actually the vehicle. The instructions for programming up to 4 remotes are given in the FORD owners manual.
