I think now I will wait until I get back home Sunday afternoon before I do anymore troubleshooting. At least then I won't be at the mercy of someone else. I'm hoping since AI got the Jack to retract, everything will be back to normal. If not, I will unplug the controller and see if that resets it. I know the controller has some sort of another problem, because when recalibrating the jacks, the controller does not perform the last step, "blink three time" indicating that it has saved the last setting.
