Hello wa8yxm. Yes, it is the Power Solutions device which requires you to plug a second power cord into the service pedestal. I installed it about 7 years ago. However, after a year of using it in Texas, I had a problem with our automatic electrical transfer switch which resulted in it needing replacement. Since I don't know what caused the transfer switch to fail, I was concerned it might have been the Power Solutions which caused it, thus, my question at the start of this thread. We now spend our hot summers in Colorado and have not used it for the last 5 years.
