Ppower gear,bedroom slide, 2000, Damon, Intruder,

I have problem with the break release on a power gear motor. The release does not disengage going out. If I manually disengage it works fine. Any suggestions as to what the problem is..
I called Power Gear, they only sell complete motor, $850.00. Has any one had this problem? Is there a fix?

    Thanks for all the Info.
    I am home now will get my RV guy to check it out. I think it might be the encoder that is the problem.

    Thanks Dennis. I will look. I did not see one.
    Might have to make a manual release rod, with easy access.

    Not exactly sure about the Power Gear units but usually there's a solenoid that engages/disengages the release. Look for a solenoid or a relay....Dennis
