I have had good results from HP inkjet in my coach, although I have had to replace cartridges prematurely once or twice because the ink clogged from non-use. However, if that had happened on an Epson, I'd have been looking at expensive head replacements.
At home I have a laser printer. When it prints, the toner is fused to the paper by a powerful heater. Draws enough current to make the lights dim in my office, and throws a lot of heat. That's my experience with lasers.
