Unless you have something in the contract that says they have to deliver by a certain date, there's probably not much you can do. If it takes another week, at least you're 2/3 of the way there. As far as worrying if you paid too much, once I make a purchase, I never look around for a better price. Seems you'll always find a better deal AFTER you buy. It'll drive you nuts.

When you say 'pre-delivery' are you really referring to post purchase? To me pre delivery means getting the coach ready for my final 'pre-delivery' inspection and acceptance, then the dealer gets my money. On my last two used coach purchases, I gave the dealer no money and signed nothing (other than an agreement to purchase with conditions) until any issues were addressed and the coach was ready for my final inspection and acceptance.

If you have already paid for the coach, it seems you will have to want unless your contract allows you to exit.

In one word, NO!

While state laws differ, basically you could sue the dealer for non-performance of the contract, if the contract specifies certain times to accomplish certain tasks. The bar is quite high to recover any damages from a dealer, as the sales contracts have been thoroughly "lawyerized" to protect the dealer, not the buyer.

IMO dealers have all the bases covered, especially after the sale.

(We paid of a car loan off from a credit union and they never sent the title with "release of interest of lien holder". Over a year later and after a couple meetings with the credit union we were able to apply thru state for "lost" title. Attorney generals office was no help).

Explain what you mean by "sent the rig in for predelivery". I have never heard that phrase used before. The predelivery is JUST WHAT IT STATES, This is done before you sign the contract and pay for the RV. WHO is doing the Service work?????. The dealer does NOT have a service dept? He is using a 2nd party to service the RV? Once the RV is funded by whoever and the title(registration) is started, you OWN that vehicle. If you are concerned, then you need to contac a Lawyer, to see what rights you have. ONLY a Lawyer can answer your questions. Doug

If you don't like their service now, just wait until you complain and try to force something. Calm down, think about what you will be able to do with this RV once you have it. Life is too short to let three weeks wait ruin many years of happiness in using the RV.

I bought my MH in March. I could not get them to do anything as far as work on the coach to get some things fixed until after I paid for it. Then and only then would they take it to the other lot where they do the pre-delivery work. They were pretty good about fixing what I had identified and forced them to put in the contract. If I didn't notice a discrepancy and have it put on the sales contract, they would not fix it. I heard plenty of people say that they would walk away but I got what I consider a great deal and they did 7K of work on it to get it ready. It took me three weeks and two PDIs to get mine. It was worth it. Maybe I wasn't insistent enough which you probably wouldn't agree with if you knew me but that's the way it was. I think you should stop worrying about it and enjoy it when you get it hopefully in perfect shape.

Golf Guy. Hang in there. It seems like a lot of money (and it probably is), but I'm sure you'll enjoy the heck out of this rig when you get your hands on it. I've purchased four RVs, and I've had them in the shop for up to nine weeks to get things right. But in the long run it was worth it. It's much better to get it fixed up now than to wait until after the warranty is up in a year or so.

If this is a used unit, hang in there but keep calling/visiting and pushing. This should be a slower time for them to get the job done. Are you having major things done to it? If so, perhaps that's the hang-up.

After you receive it and agree to what was done, enjoy the heck out of it.

If you then have future repairs to be made, that doesn't involve the original purchase, move to another repair facility. You have no obligation to keep returning to the same dealer - unless it's for something that should have been corrected in the first place. Good luck!
