Propane relay stays on and drain batteries?

Hi, I went to a propane shop today to get my furnace repaired. The guy told me that the poor setup relay installed on the propane tank is allways energized as long as there is 12 volt on the RV and that it drains the batteries in no time.

Is there any mod that could be done to fix that?

I noticed that a week ago, the relay is warm to touch. So if you are booducking, it will suck your batteries quickly.
  • I tought this was kind of a safety device. If I remove the solenoid, will there allways be propane in the lines? How can I shutt it off otherwise?

Those 12 volt LP systems are rarely used anymore. Just remove the solenoid at the tank. Doug
