Only you can answer the question of character.
Personally, if I make an agreement, I do my best to abide by that agreement. If I decide I can't or don't want to abide by the agreement, I'll either renegotiate, work to change whatever it is I don't agree with; live with my initial decision; or, in the case of employment, residency, etc., leave.
The above is one of the principles by which I try to live. Unfortunately I have a naive expectation that others live by the same principle, which often leads to disappointment on my part, and numerous threads on rv.net re: RVers who believe they can bend or ignore the rules.
