Spleen - if you read above, you'll find I store my RV at a commercial building that I pay dearly for. Parking at the house is on occasions I'm loading up for a trip or projects such as cleaning, waxing, installing a cargo carrier, etc.
After all the comments, I went and pulled out my copy of these rules to re-read them.
Actually, to my surprise, it says "no parking of recreational vehicles, boats, camping trailers or motorcycles in driveways or on the street." Surprisingly no mention of utility trailers.
Somehow, in all these years, it just stuck in my head that it said "no overnight parking". Maybe I picked that up from my sisters HOA agreement in her neighborhood?
That means none at all, period, any time. So my buddy with his Harley is prohibited from coming over to visit me for an afternoon on his bike. I just find that ridiculous. I can understand not wanting to have extended parking, or storage on properties. I can even get not wanting overnight parking. But none at all? Technically, I couldn't swing back to the house to pick up an item I forgot in my little van.
I'm glad my neighborhood isn't run by Nazi's that would find this idea OK at all. Normally, I'd think members of a forum like this would also think that goes too far. But from some posts above, I guess not.
I suppose I'll propose some wording and submit to the board for consideration.
