Rather than talk to India..I experiment when I have tech questions/issues.
Do one thing at a time and make notes - mark wires with tape, etc and see what happens.
This way you can reverse what you did and try something else until you get the results you want.
I agree - sometimes talking to 'tech' supports in a foreign language.....well- not so helpful.
