Purchase advice

Hi,
I am here hoping for some advice. We are looking to upgrade from a 2008 Aerolite 28' trailer to a used class a. I know there are a thousand things to consider, but was hoping I could get some advice as to what this model is worth. We are very drawn to this motorhome as it appears newer than it is, has a gorgeous exterior and interior and we understand the Winnebago's are very well made. It has basement air which we prefer after having read about the pros and cons of it. It has very nice large tires on it (22 I think they said).

Unfortunately I don't have the VIN# or all the specs at the moment but I have pictures! At this time, the motorhome is priced at $79k which seems very high when comparing other models. Of course the dealer tells us they will give $18k on our camper which is way more than it is worth. But my question is, do you feel $62k is a fair price for this motorhome?
Thank you in advance for your time. ~ Sarah

  • If someone offers me $80k for my MH in 6 years I'll grab it and run. It not only has fiber glass roof and heat pumps but W/D stacked units.

Hum? The rubber roof on our last mh was replaced by the manufacture. Did I miss something?

OK, you had a rubber roof failure, so I should have worded it that a rubber roof may be needed to be replaced and the only way to upgrade it would be to replace it with Line-X , rhino lining or similar types of products.

  • Still over priced. My Monaco has a fiber glass roof. I would offer closer to $50 to 60k. 6 tires to replace. tires aren't cheap

  • That is a very nice rig. Ensure tires are good. Date code should be less than five years young. Good luck and Enjoy!!! Tommy
  • Check the tire codes I bet they are getting close to 7 years old and close to replacement time could work to try and gert more off price do to having to replace tires. Most MH tires time out before wearing out.
  • Looks clean and is a Winnebago. but probably a little high. In a month it will be 6 years old. In comparison I bought my 2013 Monaco 34' last Jan for $110k and it is on a 24,000 chassis. 2 A/C with heat pumps, electric heater in wet bay, front trak bar which I don't think was on 08 chassis.

One of the big problems with used MHs right now is many were purchased prior to the recession. Owners paid top dollar for them in good times. Prices have dropped since then. Hard to get any good price when new is cheaper.

BTW. Last year when I was looking I could have purchased an 08 diesel pusher 36' for about $80k
  • Nada has it at

    Workhorse chassis-
    Low Retail $50,060
    High Retail $60,310

    Ford Chassis
    $48,160
    $58,020

Based on your trade, you might be in the ballpark, if you don't mind paying high retail. Another 2K off should be pretty easy to do.

    Good luck
