purchase of 95 winnebago luxor

I have the opportunity to purchase a 95 Winnebago Luxor with 67k mileage. it's one owner with an 8.3 Cummins and an Allison transmission. I have never owned a class and I know nothing about them. They are asking 12k. I'm looking for help on knowing if this is a good buy and if there are any problems I should be looking out for. I know a mutual friend and this person is honest.     I have a 97 Luxor and think it is great, had it for years and about the only major thing I have replaced was the radiator before it became a problem. its a far better unit than the newer Monaco that I also have. I especially like the basement a/c up front underneath, You never hear it at night when sleeping in the bed. I would not sell mine for that price.

    If a mechanic gives the go ahead on engine and tranny, I would go for it. IIRC Luxor was the top tier for winnie

    Get a pro inspection of the RV and the chassis if you go forward. It’s 25 years old BTW.

    They could be honest but incompetent when it comes to maintenance so `buyer beware'.
    BTW is this the RV you have been hoping for because it suits your RVing lifestyle OR is it because it is a `good deal'?
