I concur with most of what has been said above.
But, I would add one thing: get a roadside emergency service policy from a company that is geared up for motor homes. The two that I am aware of are either Coachnet or Good Sam.
I won't leave home with out it as it is a sinking feeling when you coast over to the side of the road due to some simple thing. Either of the above companies will change your tire or, if a mechanical/electical issue, tow you to a repair facility without charge.
As stated above, change all belts and hoses, fluids, tires, get roadside assistance insurance and then start traveling to relatively close locations to familarize yourself to the coach and to flush out any electrical issues that need to be resolved. Then go and HAVE FUN!!!!!
