Purchasing rv without seeing in person

I have been looking on line for a class a and found one we liked in fla.The salesman of course seems real nice and says it will all be gone through and anything broken fixed.
I received the contract today and there is odd wording about they cant be held liable for any misrepresntation or ommisions in talking about the motorhome
We are planning on having it shipped to mass.
Even though its a huge rv dealership would you still have it inspected by a certified rv inspector down there,or should i fly down to look at it

    Excellent advice.
  • would an rv inspector be better then me to look at it and go by his report
  • I bought a used RV from ebay without looking at it personally. But, I had a good friend who lived in the area and I had him go over and look at it for me. He's not really an RV expert but was at least able to determine it was as represented and the seller was legit.
I wouldn't buy one based just on the salesman's word. Particularly from a "big" dealership. I tend to trust a small business more than a larger one.

  • Used? No way. Have read too many horror stories. But if I did, I would fly down and check it out myself. (But I wouldn't do it)
    New? absolutely - we did.
