Former 5er owner... We had no issues putting out the slides just about anytime... Of course, we didn't do it if we were really off level. Now the motorhome has dire warnings about being level before ...

We have put ours out when slighly off level (seems to be most times) and so far, no problems. We avoid lifting any tires off the surface. If we are that far off level we ask for another site.
