Be carefully of the Valley fever and Quartzite crud.
OH!!?????:E....:h
Now I've heard it all....
What are you trying to say :h
What I'm saying is why would you pick Quartzsite and inject Valley Fever into the mix? True there might be a debatable increase in cases across the entire western US due to drought, Quartzsite is no drier than it's ever been, so what's the point ? There are very very few labs and especially doctors that can correctly diagnose VF, and when I was checked for it the only lab in the country was in Bakersfield where there really is a problem with VF.. It's there for a reason.
I'd be more concerned about one of the dormant volcano's in the area waking up long before I'd be concerned about VF in a place that's already one of the driest areas on the planet.
Well there you go you said it "driest areas of the planet" that is exactly why. You won't find it in the wettest :S You should maybe do some reading on the subject if you think it's not a problem. Do a search here on the forum there were a few that posted about it that were fairly sick from it a few years ago. Problem is it starts as flu like symptoms.

I can go on and on. Their is a lot of info on the subject if one looks.
VF is some nasty stuff for a person or dog, as in my boy Calvin's case.
My Boy's SickHowever, most folks and animals breaths the spores (it's in the soil and airborne when the wind kicks up) but our immune system kills it. But if it can't, well ...
This is the reason, if you ask any heavy equipment operations / contractors, e.g. Rummel Construction, which equipment in their lineup is the most important. I'd bet they'd tell you it's the water trucks. Very heavy dust fines in AZ, three escalating fines if I'm not mistaken. Third one and they will, or can shut the jog site down.
Good warning for thoughs who traveled / stayed in AZ for a bit. If your dog gets sick when your home (see various links about VF in my thread), where they don't see VF cases. Let the Vet know you've traveled / stayed in AZ.
