Motorhome Air suspension systems with leveling jacks, the air usually dumps when you activate the jacks. There are some systems that have a separate dash button you have to push to dump the air bags. The reason to dump the air is to NOT have to overcome the raised height of the motorhome. The air bags will usually lift the motorhome 3 to 4 inches and that extra travel just means the jacks have to extend more. Freightliner is NOT an expert or even knows about leveling systems as they are after market. They are installed by the Coach builder. I would suspect your system is malfunctioning on the air dump, but until you post the Brand and type jack system nobody can help you. Regardless, IF the air bags do not dump, they WILL when the jacks hit the ground and start to raise the motorhome, because of the Freightliner level height arms. They will be moved by the jacks raising the RV. Look under the kitchen sink area for the water valve. Some Fleetwoods also have a filter and valve located in the outside lower storage compartments.
