one of my businesses is a tree service. It's not that I charge extra to work in an up scale neighborhood, it's I will not work in any other place. These are the only people that can, on a regular basis afford to pay what I have to charge to make a living. If a home owner wants a reputable company working around their home, vechiles, etc. it is expensive. Tree work is the second most dangerous job there is, second only to commercial fisherman. Workers comp is extremely expensive, a skilled worker demands and deserves a good pay. There are lots of guys out there that are doing this for beer and/or drug money, I see them every day. If you want cheap go find one of them. Just don't complain when a branch comes crashing through your roof or better yet, your motor home and remember, they probably don't have any insurance.
