Quiet Replacement Auxiliary Fan?

I want to replace the noisy chrome cab fans (the driver & passenger fans, at top of windshield). OEM fans are ACAR FP-105L. Has anyone found a quieter replacement? Here’s what I’ve found, but don’t know if they are any quieter:

    I'm interested in doing same thing. Hope someone has found a much quieter fan.

    If its a metal fan you wont find a quiet one, I have not found one yet, I only run mine on low speed because its noisy at high speed.

    Not sure if a plastic one is made for replacement.

    Here's an option. Many coaches mount a squirrel cage type fan behind the overhead TV. They than use flexible ducting, usually four hoses, to route the air to the windshield from behind the TV and from the sides.

    We just did that last week. The originals in our Damon were so noisy, we never turned them on. They only had 2 speeds and they were both on or off at the same time, couldn't use them separately.
    The new ones can be used individually and are variable speed. Each has its own rheostat

    Ours are setup that way. They move lots of air and are silent.
    A Monaco thing maybe?

    The lack of separate controls doesn’t bother me, but the noisy fans do. What make/model fan did you go with?

    BTW – good stuff on your blog. Thanks for sharing all the ideas.

    don't waste your money on the Amazon fan
    i bought two of them several years ago
    they lasted about 6 months
    there was a much smaller cheap motor inside the metal case that made it look like a quality unit

    How about adapting a computer case fan. I have used them in a number of applications, quiet cheap and with the Antec TriCool adjustable.

    One of the few advantages for me being hard of hearing! I can barley hear my noisy fans. Good Luck with your replacement fan.
