Radiator cap removal?

Embarrassed to ask! I can turn cap to the right until it stops but can't lift/remove cap once it stops on neck of plastic reservoir. Don't want tear plastic neck off reservoir. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

  • You turn it to the left to remove it. Turn it as far as you can to the left, then push the cap down and continue turning to the left.

    Remember righty tighty lefty loosey
