Radiator leak

I like your idea of fixing the problem rather than adding leak stop which may also clog some small coolant passages in your engine.

Perhaps you could try one of the stop leak products to get you by until you can get back to home base and a shop that you know. Radiator repair can be expensive and time consuming and once started, it takes as long as it takes.
Just keep an eye on your temperature gauge and the coolant level so you do not damage the engine.
