Rain on slide toppers

My front topper lets a little water collect under it making a very small puddle that remains after pulling in the slide. My solution is to put a towel on the top of each end of the slide after it has been pulled in. The towels catch any water that may slosh off into the coach. Just remember to remove the towels before putting out the slide at your next destination.

Wait until water gets through the topper and gets on top of the slide and you find that water the first time you start to move and then hit the brakes and it call comes down on your head!

We raise the coach with the front leveling jacks until the water runs off the rear of the slides, then retract them back down to where it's level and pull the slides in, before retracting them completely. I figure there's a dip in the middle of the slide rather than a light hump for the water to pool there and what gets me is that the seal doesn't push the water off when bringing the slide in, so there has to be a pretty good dip there.
Quite a crock for a high end coach and never had that problem ever with our old Tropical. I think I'm gonna really miss old faithful here and for the price, someone will be getting a lot more for their money than most of us buyers.
It's still for sale by the way.

Used to happen on our Newmar. We would just bring the slide in about half way before leaving, water would drain off the full wall slide, then bring in the rest of the way.

x2 - this is what we do. Normally put the tilt from the front to the back or back to front but not side to side.

we were told not to partially retract, or partially open, the slides on our Tiffin. They should be opened fully, and when closing time, also hold the button and do not stop until closed.
If water is on the toppers( or even if you do not have a topper, and water is on the slide roof,) just raise the front of the auto levelers a bit, everything comes flowing off, being unlevel, and then close up after that.
What say you?

Sorry, when the fabric has actually stretched, adding tension will NEVER get the fabric taut again. If it fixed your problem, your fabric was not stretched. Doug
