Rates In Florida

Try to find an owner of a lot for your rentals if possible. Most RV parks wont allow their owners to handle their own rentals, but some do and you can find value there, most times with the same quality.

You are confusing TAXES with RENT CONTROL. BIG DIFFERENCE. BTW, While rent control may have be a "good" idea 50 to 60 years ago in NYcity, it is NOT today. The rent control laws are easily bypassed by renters that game the system to keep that below market rent that was supposed to raise to the next renters when those "elderly" tenants move or died. Check out Illinois state parks. They (one I am aware of and was told by that host) increased the rates on weekends and or holidays. Forget the details but i used to stay there when my parents were still with us.

The ONLY time the rates are controlled is during a State Emergency, like a hurricane where some place may raise the rates on those trying to evacuate.
There was at one time a rate increase limit on MOBILE home parks, where the residents were full time and this was considered their permanent residence.
Other than an emergency, private park owners can raise their rates whenever they want.

The alternative to an RV park raising rates is the RV park sells and becomes condos. RV parks, marinas, commercial fishermen and fish houses are things of the past. To our loss.

No rent control. Ever.

After growing up in communism, where government did control everything, I tend to like free market economy.
Typical sample are hotels in Las Vegas.
Prime resort will let you have good room for $29 on average weekday.
The same room becomes $129 on Friday and Saturday.
Make it conference week, or holiday, the same room will make $490.
