Rattle/play in hitch attach

I have a drop down reciever that slides into the motorhome reciever and then the tow bar slides into the drop down, hence I have two pin points. The holes are NOT eaten out, but I do have a enough play that I get some rattle in the two recievers. Is there a way to minimize or eliminate this play/rattle? Thanks
Brian

  • I used 2 to 4 rounds of plastic tape to help with this.. If you take it off and on this won't work, I leave mine on all the time.. Mike Mathews..
  • Roadmaster makes a Quiet Hitch.. From Roadmaster website: Quiet Hitch stops sway and wander before it begins. Quiet Hitch eliminates any free play between the receiver and the tow bar (or bike rack, ball mount or whatever you insert) for a solid, seamless connection. Consistent pressure keeps your towing combination tracking straight through crosswinds, curves and sudden maneuvers — all with considerably less effort on your part.

They are not the only one who has such a part.
