We really liked our Brougham.
First, I wouldn't spend time finding an original coach manual (not likely of much use). General online RV troubleshooting information has always been better than the coach manuals. A chassis manual however can be handy.
For the AC ... Common for loose screws in the buss bars or breaker connection, so make sure those are all tight first. Use your eyes and nose when inspecting and be sure to resolve any burnt component issues discovered. A basic multimeter can help determine if power is getting to the AC unit and then what happens to the power when turned on. It could be a bad capacitor or relay (anything look or smell burnt).
Class C or B ... good luck with that ;) We settled on B+ as the nearest classification reference.
