Had a 2007 commander and after the n23 recall on the transfer case it would never shift into neutral . Went back 4 times and they could not get it to work correctly. So got rid of it . If you road test it bring a pen with you as that's what you need to shift it ( the transfer case) into neutral. If you do a search on this forum there's a lot of info on jeeps recall screw up. There also very heavy. Mine weighed 5400 lbs. mileage was only 14 on highway. That was with the 4.7 . If it never had the recall done your better off.
