towable jeep

Looking for a toad for a motor home and found a nice older jeep, (97), Laredo with selectrac transmission. Owner's manual wasn't in the car and the current owner did not know if the jeep was towable. Any one with experience about this tranny out there?

    I believe that is what I have in my 2005 Liberty. The transfer case should offer 2WD, 4WD (part-time aka 4-Hi), 4WD (full-time aka AWD), neutral, and 4WD (part time) Lo.

    You must tow either 4 down or on a trailer. Dolly is absolutely not useable). To tow, put transfer case in neutral and tranny in park. Do not tow with tranny in neutral or in gear, as that will damage the transmission.

    To change transfer case setting, the Jeep should be rolling, but not under load. A couple miles per hour is all you need there.
