With a new 35' gasser, we tried to measure for the first time over the 4th for a 850 mile trip. Tow a Jeep. We never let it go lower than a half tank so it makes it hard to gauge, but the best we could calculate was about 8.5. As I've posted before, I pulled a two horse trailer with a F150 and was lucky to get 8, so I have no complaints at all.
I'm glad I didn't buy a diesel because we in TN and NC get some mountains but not enough to justify a DP. And, this morning, a DP passed me big time towing a car/dolly while I was driving to work in my car on I-26, and I just wondered how much he/she was burning up being in such a hurry!
