Bumpy, by that line of thinking no one would replace a lousy charger converter with a better one, or cheap tires with good ones, etc. :)
I've used EB tape on the front and rear cap seams of two fivers and our B+. It's a very good additional seal over a problem-prone joint. The other roof joints seem easy enough to maintain with lap sealant.
