I don't think it is EB in that photo. If you try to pull EB off, the adhesive is tenacious, and stringy like stuck bubble gum, if it had been properly rolled over after installation. Given the more labor intensive installation requirements of EB, I would guess that tape is just something that is peel, stick, and hope. I'm not surprised it didn't stick well. I agree with Mocoondo that lap sealant would be better than that tape.
