The main thing to consider is transmission. According to Family Motor Coaching's "Towables" list, NONE of the automatic Subarus are 4-down towable. So if you're going with an automatic, the decision is already made for you unless you go with one of those aftermarket transmission kits. This might not be the case for the older Subarus, but it does apply to the '14s.
