If your rig had standard air bags, I would fix them ASAP. The bags were intended to support some of the load, and they offer some adjustability that leaf springs will never ever give.
Fix the air bags. Put enuf pressure in them to level the coach. Try it out. Adjust pressure up or down for best ride and handling.
Note:
air or not, the spring rate (pounds per inch deflection) determines both the ride height and the comfort, that is the harshness or softness of the ride. Air bags do not automatically make a soft supple suspension. A properly sprung suspension, with the appropriate spring rate, and just the right shocks to control those springs, will give the best ride.
