Rear view camera wrong side viewing? What's wrong?

Hi, my rear view camera is showing the wrong side of the road??

When there is something on the right, I see it on the left on my screen or for example a car pass me on the left, I see it on the right of the screen, it scared me the first time I tough there was a car comming on my right on the shoulder.

I have a Jensen, single rear view camera, no side camera. I took the cover off the back and everything seems normal, the little shade portion is up, the word Jensen is written normal side up.

The screen seems to be mounted properly, button and writtings on the side are the right way.

Any way to adjust this?

One setting shows the picture as if you're looking directly at the scene. The other setting shows it as if you're looking in the rear view mirror. I prefer the mirror view for my two rear cameras. If the cameras were being used for some other purpose, such as a door way or yard monitor, then the direct view would be my preference.

    I LOVE THESE FORUMS!!
Found the button, it is in the back of the camera, I did not see it but as I reached behind, bingo, there is a button in there, flic it, reverse the picture.

    Many thanks
  • that happened to me when I put a baby monitor in as a secondary rear vision unit. somebody posted the two wires to switch to correct this.
    bumpy
  • The camera in our previous coach was that way, and it never bothered me. I just turned it around in my head.

That is interesting because I can't back a trailer without turning nearly 180 degrees in the seat.

  • many camera's came with a reverse image switch

but NOW its more common for the reverse/mirror/FLIP image function to be in the video monitor settings menu

  • The adjustment for this is usually in the display. Have you gone through your display menus?
