Rear View Camera

Ours has that build in. You just push in the switch for either backup or camera.

You'll a 12v positive lead to the toggle switch then route a 16ga primary wire from the toggle to the camera. Disconnect the reverse wire on the camera and connect that primary wire from the toggle switch. You can turn the camera on or off with the toggle switch.

Somewhere, either on the display unit or the camera itself, there's a connection to the reverse circuit to activate and deactivate the camera. If you connect that instead to a constant-on circuit (or, more usefully, one that's on when the key is in run), the camera will operate all the time. There's no need for an additional camera. If you want to get really fancy, you could install a switch to select between always on and on only in reverse--which would obviously be a bit more straightforward to do usefully if the requisite connection is on the display unit.

Some monitors allow you to make the switch right from the front, without accessing the back of the monitor.

It should always be on. Been like that for years. I’m guessing you make a change in the settings on the monitor.

You have a new Tiffin and it doesn't have a rear view camera on it? I'm surprised. My 2006 Tiffin had it. I have not seen a Class A without one. I would call the boys at Tiffin and ask about it.

It does have a rear view camera but the sales person told us it only comes on when the coach is in reverse. Same with the side views on the mirrors. They only come on when the turn signal is engaged.

I would guess you can change the setting in the dash monitor. We have a 2018 Tiffin and there are MANY settings in the monitor. Just play with it. Ours left/right and rear are always on while driving, but each go to full screen when in reverse or turn signal engaged. I have adjusted how they are displayed. Your salesperson was not correct.
