Reclining couch as bed

We have the 2 seat power reclining couch in our 2007 Itasca. It can be configured flat for a bed, but is very uncomfortable. The cushions on the backs seem much firmer than the seats and there is a gap between the seat and back cushions.

Anyone found a simple solution to make this a reasonably comfortable bed?

Guess we could put an air matress on it.

Thanks-- Mick

Where to you find space to store the matress topper when not in use? Not many places to put something that bulky.
Use a space bag or find some other way to compress the foam when not in use. I'd go with memory foam rather than regular foam.
