several ways. the software has a backup option that allows me to select a location for the file. in my case this is on an external hard drive. i also backup to the cloud.

yes. always a good idea. to test i backed up to my external drive and also to a thumb drive....just in case. i then restored from the external drive. all of the data was there.

yes and no. repairs and maintenance only. i scan those invoices and store as PDFs.
