Now it's the Refrigerator. I always plug it in to power a day or so before a trip. I noticed that the left side of the fins "right above the top shelf" were not frosting over like the rest of the fins on the right side of the refrigerator. I just thought it was because the coach sits in a Carport and it was a little over 100 degrees outside. So down the road we went. I noticed when we stopped the fins were still dripping water. How ever at night when the weather cools all the fins frost over and every thing cools good. The freezer compartment froze every thing and even made ice in the ice maker.Then the weather cooled off in the day time and every thing worked good. Today, when I plugged it in just to see if it worked properly nothing will run. Neither fans or compressor is running. Checked power, all lights on the fridge work fine, checked circuit breakers every thing I can think of no luck. Got any ideas?/ It is a Norcold 4 door.

And if the fins are dripping water that's not a good sign.What do you mean 'when I plugged it in'? Are you running on gas the whole time? You don't *have* a compressor in that refer so you're not going to hear anything. Take off the back panel and see if it's leaking ammonia.

Before doing any testing, turn the fridge OFF, wait 30 seconds and turn it back ON. Set temperature setting to FIVE.A few things to check:1. Remove outside cover.2. Check for 120V power at the plugs. If yes,3. Check for 12V power at the fridge. (You should see two wires attached to the bottom of the black box. The black wire, may also have a small black wire attached, is your 12V power. The white wire at the same location is ground. If yes,4. Unplug the thermister. It's clipped onto the third fin at the back. Follow the wire up to the light. You'll see a plug there. Unplug it. The thermister is simply a thermostat. Unplugging it will make your fridge run constantly. After a couple hours, see if the box is cold. If yes, replace the thermister.. If no,5. Check to see if your cooling fans are working. You will have two 12VDC muffin fans on top of the cooling unit. You should be able to hear them. If not, here's an easy solution to check if they are the problem. With the outside cover removed, unplug the ice maker. Plug a 120VAC fan into that plug and secure it outside the coach with bungee cords with the fan blowing air on the coils. Check the fridge temp after a couple hours. If yes, replace the muffin fans, if no....call a technician.All the above assumes you're on 120VAC power. Do the above tests and let us know the results.You can also do a hard reset of the fridge, but only if you determine it's an electrical problem. With the fins moisturing up, I'm guessing your Thermister has failed...see #4 above....Dennis

It seems like I never give enough info. It is plugged in to 120V. Yes, the flame lights and burns when on propane. But The fins only frost over on one side. If you unplug the MH from the shore power the fridge switches over to gas. When weather cools down at night all the fins frost over. I cannot see the fans but it sounds like there is a fan running at the top of the unit.The Fridge runs constantly gas or electric. I do have electrical power on the ice maker. Will try the fan bit blowing in on it."What I meant when I say I plugged it in. I never plugged into any thing but electricity" I don't know what your asking. Thanks Y'all

1200 lrims will drip when they self defrost. What's the temps for freezer and fridge.

At this minute our dometic is 1.4 in the freezer and 33.3 degrees in the fridge.

Sounds like the 1200 No-Cold is living up to its name. We just this week went with the Samsung 197 Residential frig, now the frig is 38degs and the freezer is -2degs. The ice cream is like a rock and the beer is cold.
To remove the 1200 it is a 2 man job and a lot of work just to reinstall the same one with maybe the same problem.

I removed the Roof vent, There is a screen, then a piece of tin covering the top of the refer. Take the tin off, the fans are to the left and right back under the roof. They are held in place with looks to be about 5/16" self tapping screw. I can see 2 of them but I can feel one more on the blocked side.

OK, thanks for the help. After speaking with a gentlemen from Norcold. It's my fans that must be the trouble. He says it requires removing the refrigerator from the space it's in. So now I must get a repair man. There is now way I can take it out my self

Thanks for narrowing it down a bit...do you have things in the fridge? If so, make sure air can get around inside. A small fan inside will assist in making cooling more efficient. They have a battery powered one. Blocking the air flow will decrease the efficiency of the fridge. Let's do another test.

Unplug the thermister. You will find the plug up by the light inside the fridge. The light will be OFF as well. That's normal. Once unplugged, the fridge will run constantly, meaning the freezer will get cold first followed by the box. You should see temps dropping. Take temp readings every hour for four hours. Do not open the box between temp checks. If each reading is less than the preceeding one, the thermister is bad. Simple fix...buy another thermister, about $30. Unplug the old one and plug in the new one....Dennis

the thermistor should be on the third fin from the right looking in at it........

I had the opposite problem, sort of. The fins in my fridge keep freezing into a solid block of ice...no matter how hot or cool outside and I could set the temp control to one and it still happened. It turned out to be a bad thermistor.

This is for NON adjustable tstat refers. On adjustable tstat refers, the temp change by moving the Thermister will only vary about 2 degrees. Doug
