Registration/Title Issue - Need Your Opinion

Man-oh-man, this is THE lace when someone needs a reality check concerning an RV. Thank you one and all for your great feedback. I paced back and forth half the night and called him early this morning to renig on my offer. We bantered a bit, he said "you don't think I'm going to return the $500 do you? to which I said "Hell No, I expected this was part of your con" blablabla... We finally made UP--He finally told the truth about having to pay the taxes (was it the truth?), and THEN proceeded to tell me he lived I the rig in a trailer park where it sat for a year!~ Am I a "happy camper" that I listened to my gut and to each of you that wrote in? You betcha. After it was all said and done, he's agreed to refund me a portion since he had to make repairs on my behalf and I'm like, whatever. This was MY lesson to learn. I'm just grateful I didn't dig my money-pit any deeper, (deep breathe here) by going through with the deal.
