Remorse?

We were looking to do the same thing, move from our fifth wheel to a DP and went looking at entry level DP's last summer and found the quality was lacking in this level of unit with broken things on every one we looked at brand new sitting on the lots, all the entry level DP's we drove seemed under powered and handled poorly, most were in the 300 HP range. Of course I had nothing to compare the power and handling to but seemed like it would be tiring to drive. We then decided to look at upper level used DP's which is what the forum members here suggested but could not find a floor plan that compared to our 4 slide fifth wheel and that we would give up what we have for . We have since decided that a used DP could be great but also could become a money pit as it ages and have decided to stay with our current rig, I can make a lot of repairs on our current equipment with the money we would have spent. I was not nervous about spending the money since that is the cost of the life style and if you enjoy it the cost shouldn't bother you as long as it doesn't bust the bank. Ii was just so hard to find something with a floor plan we could live with and in good condition that was worth the cost to us. as for now we are staying with the fifth wheel and truck . good Luck in what ever you end up doing
