Removing a/c ceiling air return cover

Good morning,
I can not think of the name of the white cover on the ceiling that holds the air return filter. It also permits having the a/c or heat pump to be routed directly into the living area. Hopefully someone will recognize what I mean.
There are four screws under the filter cover grate. However there are there are two circular covers that probably cover two more screws.
These covers are tightly secured. there isn't enough room to insert any thing to pry them out without damaging the edges.
How the heck are those two circular covers removed?? :h

Use a very sharp knife to pry the plastic covers off of the remaining two screws. They actually come off fairly easily.

    Yup,
You got it. Thank you. A thin white strip of insulation up in there had fallen off and was blocking vent. Today was the day to finally "attack" the problem. thanks again

  • Use a knife or small screwdriver to "pop" that cover off, you will then see the screw underneath. Doug
  • Depending on AC brand there should be a screw near each corner. Remove them and it should drop off.
