Removing the plastic shield from Motor Home

Don't think I have ever read on here. Has any one ever tried a pressure washer to remove that plastic shield??
I do know that a son-in-law tried to pressure wash their coach one time and he washed part of a decal off before he realized it. But our coach is full body paint. I'm thinking about trying it. Any one got any good or bad news about trying a pressure washer.??

Thanks y'all for the info.I guess I was missing the heat part.
My trouble is I'm afraid to try the heat, sure don't want to mess up that paint.
    Thanks again.
You may not have a choice, but I can pretty much guarantee that the pressure required will end up being a point stream and you're gonna drill through the surface. Go back and read that other thread again. The last post is from a guy that just did it with a heat gun. You being in Texas shouldn't have allot of trouble heating that thing up from the Sun and just work on it for a few days
  • Go to you tube and watch the videos from ugly shield he has a business in Florida that removes the shields and has several videos out on how to remove and what to look out for when you do.

The cool water is going to make it harder to get it off. Now a hot water pressure cleaner might just work. I have access to one so I might give it a try but its going to be a while before I have the MH out. Maybe I will remember to try it.

I asked about pressure washing. I guess no one has tried it.

Read that thread.. HEAT is what it takes to make any progress removing a diamond shield without peeling off what's underneath. this isn't a cheap sun dried decal. It's an expensive, big, thick, really sticky rock shield that's not going to be affected by water at any pressure unless you can take the water to 150degrees + to soften everything up.
