With a well maintained Diesel, 100,000 miles is just broke in and getting ready for the long haul. I the engine died in less then 500k to 700k miles it was not maintained properly. 40 to 50 years ago a 100K engine was bragging rights, 20 years ago it was becoming more common and now 200k is well within reach for the average automobile. in the same time period the Diesel engines were still going to 500k very easily and now one million is not unheard of. Suspension, Brakes and cooling systems are more likely future problem areas as well as the RV appliances.
