Replace Air Filter in Triton V 10

I am having difficult time removing air filter lid even after undoing the three clips. Trying to put a new filter in. Lid raised about 1/4 inch. Space is not an issue. I could try to force the lid up but afraid it might crack. Does anyone out there have any solutions. I have a 2010 Newmar Baystar with a Triton V 10 Gas.
