Replace elect awaning with manual

I think if we had the electric awning, we would use it more often. We have the older box awning that we crank open and pull out the self-storing poles and such. But I really don't like the two vertical tracks mounted on the side of the motor home of an electric awning. For me it is a trade off, no clear winner.

In the OP's case replacing an electric with a box, you'd need to "cap" all the mounting holes somehow.
