Replace RV door and screen door

I posted this on the Forest River forum and received a reply about salvage yards. I called the yards and no luck. Have also called Forest River and keep leaving messages which no one returns. Anyone have thoughts on how to get replacement doors for our 2005 Lexington 255 GTS? Thanks

Do you have a RV Dealership in your area? For example, we have a dealer that sold Forest Rivers and I believe he continues to do so. You might review his website at - Leach has been in business for years and does have a good reputation.
  • RV doors are usually bought from an outside vendor by the rv mfg.'s.

Call a dealership parts dept. or...…………….
Match the size you need. If its not on this site do another search for more companies. Send them a photo of what you have including the hinges . Measure the distances.

  • Did you try this salvage yard? Arizona RV Salvage I have been able to find everything I've ever needed from them, whether it was for our 1971 Airstream or our Monaco. The last thing I got from them was the lighted outside grab handle for the Monaco. I hunted for a long time, before I remembered to call them. They had two on hand and I had it two days later.
  • RV body repair shop can take measurement and will have a door mfg for you - kinda spendy but doable.
  • That's a specialized door, look at the jamb depth that tapers from about 3" at bottom to nothing at the top due to the curved wall. That is probably why Forest River will not return your calls. Because they are lucky to have a clue what was used 3 years ago, let alone 13 years ago, and no record of who made those specialized door for them at the time, or if that company still exists.
